Customer Reviews

Rating: 5
Summary: Great guide
Comment: This is an excellent guide to products that we use daily. You can find the safest alternatives and information about what ingredients are harmful. The only drawback is that it does not include ratings on the newest products on the market but you can use the other info about harmful ingredients as a guideline. If you are concerned about product safety this book is a must.

Rating: 5
Summary: This book is an excellent book.
Comment: This is definitely a Bible. This book contains a huge abundance of useful information, everything from cleaning products to the foods we eat. Everyone should have one of these in their houshold.

Rating: 1
Summary: Leaves You Feeling Desperate
Comment: On the one hand, it's nice to know that many products I purchase have known carcinogens: Colgate toothpaste, Pantene shampoo, Cover Girl makeup, Halibut from California, cashews, sesame seeds, anti-perspirant, Clairol hair dye, etc. Unfortunately, I have never heard of the recommended alternatives, and they are unavailable at any store, ie: Logona, Ecco Bella, Aloegen Biogenics, Paul Penders cosmetics, etc. What is a person to do?

The authors of this book are doing us a favour by making us aware of how toxic these everyday items are, but does little to help the consumer who does not live in an area where alternatives are readily available. The real question is why our governments are allowing these companies to poison us. It's truly depressing.
