Summary: Intriguing view of American history via its heroes.
Comment: We were particularly excited about the Sports and Music selections. The choices were piquant and perceptive. The descriptions of the selections were particularly fascinating in their unique view of herodom in this age of popular consumer driven society. I would strongly recommend this book and its off-beat view of our world of American history to a generation unused to reading about our heros and role models from a realistic, while yet Zen, perspective. Kudos to the authors and particularly the fine editing staff!!!
