This book is about a girl named Molly who lives at Hediech House and is no ordinary orphan. She has got her hands on a book of hypnotism. She then later realizes that she has an amazing ability. She has the ability to hypnotize people. And with her dreams of becoming a Broadway superstar this will surely help her. Sure she thinks no one no's, however she is wrong. Because a suspicious stranger is watching her every move and he'll do anything to steal her hypnotic secret. This is an amazing book and a book in which surely hypnotized me in reading.
I also enjoyed this book because it made me laugh and giggle all over the place. For example, this quotes "NOTOROUS" this just helped me realize how Molly felt. I also enjoyed it when Molly said "GRRRR" this really surprised me because Molly seems like a girl that would never get mad. This really showed me a lot. As you can see I also enjoy this book because it is very interesting and an excellent book for 7th graders.
My favorite part in this book was in the beginning. I enjoyed this because Molly has to survive alone with out her best friend. This is also the part when Molly has toilet monitor. This part also made me feel a little sad because they have to clean the toilets with their toothbrush. This part also makes me realize how much we should appreciate our parents. This is a wonderful book and is great to get hypnotized in!

Summary: Fantastic book!
Comment: This is Georgia Byng's first novel and I am extremely impressed with it. The writing, characters, plot, and setting all come together to create a fabulous tale about an orphan girl's startling discovery that would change her world forever.
Molly Moon was just another orphan living at Hardwick House. She was always being picked on by the other kids and was tormented by the headmaster, Ms. Adderstone. Molly only had one friend and would often spend her time being punished for things like taking a bath with too much water or being bullied by Hazel Hackersky. To make matters worse, her best friend Rocky was adopted from the orphanage and taken to New York with a new family.
But one day, Molly's bad luck changes for the better. She discovers a mysterious old book entitled "Hypnotism," written by a hypnosist expert. Molly first tested it out by hypnotizing the orphnage's dog, Petula, and discovered she was a natural. She even won two thousand pounds at a local talent show and decided to put her earnings to use. After hyptotizing both Miss Adderstone and the orphanage's cook into liking her, Molly decides to go to New York and try to find Rocky. But before you can say "hypnotism," Molly is staying at the most expensive hotel in New York City and earning forty-thousand dollars a month by being the star of a hit Broadway musical. But that's not all- a stranger determined to get the book is watching Molly and plotting a plan to get that book...
This is an excellent book for ages 8-12. It's mixed with humor, sadness, and happiness all at the same time. Readers will be cheering for the impressible Molly, who has the adventure of her life in this book.

Summary: Can't wait for the adventure to continue!
Comment: If there is another book with as much fun and adventure in it involving an orphan hypnotist, I haven't found it! Molly Moon is an adorable character who you can't help but love. Her hard times at the orphanage seem nearly over when she finds a book on hypnotism at the local library and makes her way across the pond to NYC where she becomes, of all things, a Broadway baby and a bank bandit - all in the same month. Not to be missed by any reader with an affinity for Lemony Snicket or Harry Potter. You won't be able to wait for the sequel. Truly fun stuff with a cherry on the top.
