Summary: Great Book
Comment: Let me first start off by stating that I live in NYC and have never listened to Mancow's radio show. An old college friend of mine currently lives in Chicago and he always tells me all the time about this funny radio host Mancow Muller. So while in my local bookstore I came across his book and started reading the first chapter. I was instantly hooked and couldn't stop reading. So I purchased the book, went home and read it cover-to-cover. Mancow possesses an overall ideology about life which I relate to more then all these other talking heads out there. His book is emblematic of the man and I really like what this man has to say. Whether it's relishing in the freedom's of Amsterdam, or putting up a fight to the corporate media conglomerations which exist in radio today, Mancow is a man of his convictions. His passages about his father's recent death where touching, if not eloquent and I think every guy out there who recently lost a father, should pick this book up for therapuetic reasons, not to mention his hilarious anecdotes on everything from having sex with a hooker, to his famous closing down of the Bay Bridge in San Francisco. Great book!

Summary: A wild ride
Comment: I just recently held a booksigning for Mancow at my store in Chicago (in fact, just 2 hours ago). What really struck me, and I'm sure will strike many readers, is that Erich (Mancow) is a very down to earth personable guy and it shows in this book. His mindset and work is "on" 24-7. Sure we have the crazy mixture of girls, booze, drugs, and downright fall on the floor funny humor...but there is so much more to Mr. Muller in the pages of this book. Many personal observations on life, politics, manhood and the bond between fathers and sons hit home in this book. Dedicated to his father who passed from cancer, those who are undergoing similar trials can read from a kindred soul who's been there. Not just for fans of his Morning Madhouse Show, this is a highly entertaining read. A solid run down "freedom road". Keep on rockin' you crazy ninjas!

Summary: Terrific and Manic
Comment: Mancow Muller is outrageous on the radio and his book is his personality put on paper. He puts his foot in his mouth and is politically incorrect but doesn't apologize for it. He's too busy having already manically jumped to another topic. The writing and manic personality, even the story is very similar to Rikki Lee Travolta's My Fractured Life. The childhood reflections have a little in common with Augusten Burrough's Running With Scissors. Terrific.
