Summary: Speeding Bullock
Comment: This book and movie is a fast-paced action flic that never stops to surprise you with one surprise or another. Filled with action, and warm funny comedy, this is as best as a book and movie can get. Not comparable with its predecessor, this movie stands on its own as being one of the best action movie of the year 1997. With strong performances by Sandra Bullock and Jason Patric, excellent direction from Jan De Bont and a solid screenplay from Randall McCormicj and Jeff Nathanson, what more could you ask for?!? This is a must-buy and a book and movie you will want to read and see many times in the future

Summary: May be the worst book/screenplay/movie in 1997!!!!
Comment: If I could give a sub-0 rate for this screenplay/book/movie, I definitely would donate it without hesitation!! I could only describe this book with harsh words such as "stuuu-pid, ridiculous, illogical, try-to-be-smart-and-funny but never worked!!" Most of the supporting characters including the crew members and the passengers are totally unnecessary! Most of the dialogues in this screenplay/book are stupid, stupider, and stupidest beyond my imagination! Their dialogues, especially under stress situations and condtions, are totally unreasonable and completely against human behaviors, making me wonder if it was written by aliens!! All the scenes, even from the very beginning, are so unreal and so stupidly made up! The characters in this supposed-to-be THRILLER movie/book are just jerks and 3rd grade comedians who tried vainly to make the movie goers laugh, but would never make them crack if not feel so stupidly fooled. The three main characters, especially the lovers, are so superfluously established with almost stranger-like hollow feelings. All the scenes played by the supporting characters, no matter when,how,where...should be completely deleted from the book or to be cut out from the movie viciously and mercilessly. This is not a THRILLER, but a book/movie could not be categorized appropriately. A COMEDY? MELODRAMA? FARCE? Or, just a throw-away of millions of dollars? Or a throw-away of $5.99/copy? Or, a waste of a ticket and 90 minutes of your life? Don't read it! If you decide to see this movie, just pretend you are going to watch a not so funny and overkilled comedy, or just to watch the BEHIND SCENE OF HOW THEY MADE THE STUNT AND THE SPECIAL EFFECT. I regret to have to read and translate this book into another language word by word. It's a senseless and ridiculous torture that I could do without
