Summary: Blue Avenger is a ¿Weepless¿ Wonder
Comment: The Adventures of Blue Avenger, was simply amazing. This book had great humor, from the weeping lemon meringue pie to the long drive in Blues van, there was precision in timing and numbers, and also an amazing plot. I really enjoyed how every day problems, big and small, were in the book and had Blue, or another character, solve the problem. My favorite character in the book was definitely Blue. I love how he was always himself, or should I say both of himselves. David Schumanger (Blues name before his name was Blue) didn't have the confidence that Blue had. Blue wasn't afraid to ask out Omaha Nebraska Brown, the girl of his dreams, while David was. Blue could solve the mystery of the weeping meringue, while David couldn't. Blue could become a national hero overnight, David definitely could not. David just felt way more confident as Blue Avenger. So Blue went along solving many simple, but important, problems (All of them in secret because that was the Blue Avengers code.) including helping his best friend with an acne medicine so that his face may be clearer and saving the school newspaper from printing an inappropriate cover. And also help solve big problems like saving a principle from a swarm of bees, and even helped pass a law that will replace bullets(which can kill) with Winger Stingers, a tranquilizing dart that will disenable a persons muscle control for over an hour(so people will be able to defend themselves without killing someone.) Blue Avenger, in my opinion, was one of the most well written books I've ever read.

Summary: If you liked Louis Sachar's Holes, then you will love this
Comment: This book is SO much like 'Holes' But that doesn't mean that once you've read one that you've read the other. Adventures of Blue Avenger is about a sixteen year old boy who decides to change his name to Blue Avenger. Taking on his new identity, he also gains a new strength. He befriends the girl of his dreams, Omaha Nebraska Brown, invents the ultimate recipe for a 'weepless' meringue pie (which I have yet to try), and does a whole bunch of other super hero stuff. I thought this was a very good book and I think that you all should go and get it and read it because it is definitely worth it.

Summary: A Great Book to read
Comment: The Adventures of The Blue Avenger is a fictional book written by Norma Howe. I enjoyed this book because of many reasons. The first reason I enjoyed this book is because there was a bit of reality in the fictional book. Some of the events in the story may have been based on real life, which interested me from the beginning of the book until the end. I also enjoyed this book because of the theme and plot. I enjoyed this because Norma Howe went and showed the theme and the plot quite often and well so, that made me really enjoy this book.
I also liked "The Adventures of the Blue Avenger," because it is entertaining, with the twists that develop in the plot. I also like how this book can relate to some problems that we face today in the world. I also liked the book because the book was very interesting and wanted me to keep on reading it until the end. These are some of the main reasons that I enjoyed the book so much.
The story is about a 16 year old boy named David Schumacher; David's father had died when he was thirteen in a car accident. On David's sixteenth birthday he changes his name to Blue Avenger (an idea he has been thinking about since he was younger), because David wants to be a superhero. The Blue Avenger was originally a cartoon character that David drew. During this story David changes his name to Blue Avenger. Now David is Blue Avenger "the secret champion of the underdog, modest seeker of truth fearless innovator of the unknown". He also completes many tasks that he never thought that he could do before in his life. During the course of the story Blue Avenger he helps to solve disputes and have a girlfriend that he always wanted to have. He becomes famous around the country for his heroics. He saves his principal from a deadly swarm of bees. He also helps pay for treatment for his friend so he can finally have this one girl go out with him. Blue solves crisis's such as helping the school press out. He also is trying to get his driver's license to drive a vehicle. His efforts to try and complete his dream drag on. His dream is to create a perfect non-weeping lemon meringue pie. Through even more of his ideas he helps solve a dispute at a child's birthday party. Once again he finds out that he becomes famous on not one, but two occasions.
Throughout the story Blue Avenger seeks the answer to the question of all questions. This question is "Do we control what we do in life, or are they predetermined by some force that we cannot comprehend?" He also takes on a major quest. This quest is to outlaw guns or bullets, because of the senseless violence and deaths. He discovers a new kind of secret way how to fight back without the senseless violence. Later on his girlfriend, Omaha Nebraska Brown, receives a letter from her brother. Blue Avenger, of course, helps her out, when she is in trouble and needs help. All throughout the story he tries to answer the question with Omaha Nebraska Brown to see if we are really the masters of our own fate or not.
Overall, I enjoyed this book very much. I recommend that people read "The Adventures of The Blue Avenger," because it is very fascinating and has many other good qualities a book should have. I suggest that people ages 10 and up should read this book, mostly because of the vocabulary.
