Summary: Good Book
Comment: This book was the core study guide I used for passing the Network+ exam. Over a period of about 6 months I read it 3 times cover to cover. I then went through it again about a week before and basically memorized a whole bunch of stuff I figured would be on the exam. You must understand that almost every page in this book has something you'll actually see on the exam. I liked that a lot. Many books have a whole bunch of theory and irrelevant history...who cares! I want a certification. This will get you there, plus you'll take to memory some essential things you'll need to work as a network tech and throughout your career in IT.
The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I would have liked to have had more practice questions included on the CD. Of course, I could have purchased more for a fee on their web site...please! Oh well, caveat emptor.

Summary: This book is as good as you make it
Comment: I don't know about Mr. Burger Flipper, but if you work in the IT field and simply read the book and study, and do hands on tasks from the book such as TRACERT, ARP, NBTSTAT, and many others and get to understand what they do, you will pass the Net+ exam. I've had 6 total months of networking experience and just passed the exam on my first attempt with only this book and online braindumps located at .... Do not listen to ignorant individuals such as the burger flipper who think that getting the Network+ certification will enable you to create webpages. Keep working at Mickey D's.

Summary: Great Book
Comment: Took the Net+ exam 3 days ago and received a 780/900 (646 is passing) on the exam. This book covers all the pertinent information on the exam. I read the book twice, in order to absorb all the information; but only a couple of weeks prepping for the test before test day was enough; combined with the practice tests that came with the discounted voucher I purchased off the Total seminars website. I recommend this and the A+ certification passports from Mike Meyers. Some of their other books are outdated and/or inadequate, but these two are perfect if you're willing to memorize the important information that they give you to pass the test.
