Rating: 4
Summary: Hilarious!
Comment: My four year-old and I love this book. Professor Dupont, a stodgy old guy who is a little too set in his ways, has 10 pet cockatoos who are his pride and joy. Unfortunately, the Professor's routine is driving the birds crazy. They band together and decide to play a trick on the prof. What follows is ten of the funniest illustrations in children's literature. My son giggles and guffaws his way through this book.
The book doesn't have a whole lot to say on the deeper meanings in life, but it is fun to read.
Rating: 5
Summary: Cockatoos
Comment: Ten cleaver cockatoos lead the absent minded Professor Dupont through a zany adventure, covering every room of his old house. Young readers will delight as they spy the birds hiding in unlikely places. Parents will be thrilled as well, as the children count, and recount the elusive cockatoos. The illustrations are exceptional, as we have all come to appreciate in the work of Quentin Blake.
