Comment: This book is an excellent book for Civil Engineering schools. It is a first undergrad course in Civil Engneering/Technology or in Enviromental courses. It gives the basic knowledge in this subjects for prepartion for more advanced under undergrad studies of each of the major items in the book. The book is an overview of these crucial studies, and enables the student to easier undrstand and study the material in advanced courses.

Comment: I use this text in my course "Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment" It includes some chapters beyond the scope of the course, but there is enough "good stuff" in the first 10-11 chapters to make it appropriate. I hope this text is updated every few years to include new material. The style is clear and has numerous graphics and problems to help the student.
