Summary: The future is here!
Comment: The book is excellent, but the Cyber Classroom pushes it to the next level. Surely this is the future of instruction! I am a physicist who is switching to a career in programming and I have seen teaching at its worse and driest. The Cyber Classroom is a breath of fresh air.

Summary: Very good start to Java programming
Comment: This book is the best beginning book on Java that I've seen. There is a second edition out that covers the new event model. I wish more advanced concepts such as beans (and other 1.1 concepts) were covered in either this or the 2nd edition. All in all, a very good basic book -- this is the book I recommend to people just starting out.
