Summary: A Must for Fans of the Movie...
Comment: If you liked the movie, you owe it to yourself to read the novelization. You learn considerably more about all the characters, and the writing style is quite amusing. If you're wondering what Celine was thinking when Robert stormed into her father's office, or even how Robert got past security, your questions will be answered here. A very pleasant read for an idle afternoon.

Summary: Original and Witty Screenwriting
Comment: When I saw "A Life Less Ordinary", I thought it was one of the best films that I had seen. I got the screenplay for a Christmas gift and sat down to read it. I was dissapointed when I first read it, because it didn't feel much like the movie. But, I later re-read it and realized that this is screenwriting at it's best. Hollywood screenwriters should take note of Scottish screenwriter John Hodge. He's crafted a brilliant script out of a difficult to make high-concept. The story is funny, action-packed, a little sad, has original, natural, and hilarious dialogue and, near the happy ending, a nice little romance. The story is great, and Hodge and his collaborators, director Danny Boyle and producer Andrew MacDonald, should consider doing more high-concept films which twist old formulas.

Summary: Very entertaining - better than the movie
Comment: I read this during a long airplane flight to Japan. It's much better than the movie. More background is given & the characters are better developed here. It's a nice little book - nothing too deep here, but a delight to read nevertheless.
