Summary: The BFG a review by Derek
Comment: Have you ever wanted to read a book about a giant? If so, then this is the book for you. The BFG is a funny book written by Ronald Dahl. In this story the nasty blood bottler giants eat little kids for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sophie, the protagonist, wants to stop them, with the help of her new friend, the BFG. BFG stands for Big Friendly Giant.
First, Sophie is captured and wakes up to find herself in the BFG's house. The giant's gait was so large, he could have crossed a tennis court in one step. He was the scariest looking thing she had ever seen in her entire life. She was lucky to be alive because the BFG was friendly and not like the bone crunchers or any other nasty giants.
After Sophie got to know the BFG, she found him to be one of the nicest giants she had ever met. Sophie thinks he is nice just because of the fact that he didn't eat her. Later she finds out that it is because he doesn't eat humans.
Other human eating giants are big, fat, ugly, and mean. They eat many humans each day. Sophie tries to stop all of the giants from eating humans.
The Giants don't just eat the humans, but they also go around at the night looking for fat humans. They take them out of their homes if they have left their windows open. The BFG goes around and blows some kind of powder into the open windows so that the other, meaner giants can't take the humans out of their homes. You have to read this book because it is fascinating and enjoyable because of the way Sophie and the BFG protect the humans.

Summary: I love all Roald Dahl books, but this is one of the best...
Comment: I have read The BFG over and over and it still brings adventures back into my mind. A little orphan named Sophie was captured by the Big Friendly Giant and brought to his cave. On the walls of his cave were shelves and shelves lined with glass jars filled with- DREAMS. The BFG told Sophie that there were nine other giants, but they were not all "nice and jumbly" like he was. In fact, the other giants liked to snack on "human beans"(the BFG had no education so he spoke differently). Sophie decided that the giants had to stop eating people, so she and the BFG set off to see the Queen. Together with the Air Force and the Air Marshalls, Sophie and the BFG took all the giants and threw them in a deep pit so they could never get out. I love this book so much. It always intrests me and every time I reread it, I learn more from it.
