Summary: A bit clumsily-written, a bit heavy on the cliched and tired
Comment: This book was, in some respects, a rather big let-down. The "radical" conclusions claimed on the dust jacket simply do not exist within the book, which is heavy on the clumsy writing and ordinary, even tired, ideas that the author thinks are new. Not that the author hasn't done a good deal of reading of contemporary (and far more insightful than himself) thinkers, but he might have done better than oppress readers with the recounting of unexceptional trends in contemporary sociology.
