Summary: NEVER READ PSALM 23 the SAME WAY AGAIN
Comment: This book just brings so much insight into this much loved Psalm.
Psalm 23 alone grabs onto your heart, but after reading this book, it just brings in so much more understanding of God's heart towards His sheep (us). AFter reading this book, it has even inspired me to parent differently as I apply what I have learned of God's character to my own children. The chapter on the Rod and Thy Staff shall comfort me just really convicted me on how the Rod was used and intended to be used.
Many parents have the wrong idea of the rod, implying that it means "spanking". AFter reading this book, it will transform your idea, and give you a much more indepth insight on the rod as the symbol of authority. I highly recommend this book and "Disciplining Children With Confidence" also available at amazon. DON'T PASS THIS ONE BY! BUY IT!

Summary: This one is always in my truck
Comment: My brother bought this book for me and started my addiction to Mr. Keller's writings. I read the book through and only put it down with great reluctance. Mr. Keller took one of the most beloved of Psalms and made it so that I was not only able to understand it better, but I could see the "subtle colors" in it. I not only love this Psalm for why I first read it, I can see more of the background to the picture that God was painting for us through David's hand. I would not only recommend this book for ANYONE, I have bought copies of it to use for presents. If you read it, you will be happy to pass it out to someone that you love. Mr. Keller has written in such a style that you will enjoy reading his book and then go back into your Bible and read what the Lord has written for us with a lot more joy in your heart for His provision.

Summary: abridged too far
Comment: This is an abridged version of what is already a short book. I bought it on Amazon by mistakte thinking it was the original. The full version of the book is wonderful, and part of what makes it so are the author's descriptions of his own experiences. Those are largely missing in the abridged version.
