Summary: Probably the best in its field.
Comment: Merrill Unger was a man who loved the Lord, and the Holy Book He has given to us. In this classic, Unger treats the Bible with utmost respect and dignity. He gives very helpful advice and guidance on how to expuond the Scriptures in public preaching. He gives many dangers to be avoided. Unger's knowledge is not theoretical arm-chair knowledge, but that of experince and passion. His love for the Word is very evident.

It is most unfortunate that this excellent volume by the late Merrill Unger is out of print. This classic belongs both on the press, and in the library of every serious student of the Word of God.

Comment: Outstanding book. Not just for pastors. Everyone who calls himself a Christian should read this. Lots of doctrine. Excellent discussion on hermeneutics (Bible interpretation). Good explanation on the what and how of heretical doctrines.
