Summary: Another Rolling Stone "eulogy" for an icon
Comment: The best thing about Rolling Stone's compilation their coverage of Nirvana and Kurt Cobain is that it is one stop shopping. You can get just about everything published in RS abour Kurt and the band up until Kurt's death. Convienent? Yes. Informative? Well, considering Kurt rarely told the truth in interviews (for whatever reason) this book isn't going to give you alot you don't already know. The pictures are pretty lame - most of them were highly published during Nirvana's reign as the biggest band in the world. So, what makes Rolling Stone's collection so special? Because it's from Rolling Stone, the musical authority. If anything it's more of a coffee table book, especially with the dark, flattering picture of Cobain on the cover. Unfortunately, this is another way for corporate America to take advantage of a great artist, a great person who left this life too soon...
You'd be better off with something other than this book.

Summary: a pretty good book................
Comment: This is a very well written book. The thing that confused me a little bit, because I want to know if they think it was suicide, or murder? Anyways this book shows images, quotes of people's perspective, and stories of nirvana. It shows a deep and dark look of the icon "Kurt Cobain". Kurt Cobain to me, is like 2 Pac to other people. If you feel the same way about Kurt like I do, you got to get this book. It shows never before seen images from nirvana, Courtney love, and Kurt himself. You could read about all of nirvanas albums. If you need to write a biography about someone for school, I suggest getting this book and write a biography about Kurt Cobain. It sucks that he's not around anymore. Suicide, murder, you decide (www.justiceforkurt.com) that website can give you all the information of Kurt Cobain that he could have been murder. I believe he was murdered, and you probably will too. I also recommend the book "who killed Kurt cobain", but this book can still tell you the amazing life of Kurt Cobain.

Summary: A good book for a Nirvana fan
Comment: Nicely writen, great photos, and quotes from people who knew and repected Kurt. It goes in detail about Kurts history and through the different albums of Nirvana. This book contains intreviews from Kurt and the book is just a good read and the photos are nice to look at. If you are a Nirvana/Kurt fan then you should buy this book.
