Summary: Excellent self-study guide for medical terminolgy exam
Comment: I bought this book to study for my med.term. exam without having to take an extra class. I found the book to be extremely helpful and well written. La Fleur-Brooks does a good job of working through all the bodily system in a very comprehensive way. There is alot of repetition throughout the book so come ch. 16 you can still remember what went on in ch. 2. Also, the addition of the flashcards was an extra bonus. While there are alot, they make it easier to retain what was learned. The book was also good for a review of the human anatomy and made it possible to visualize the words I was learning. The hard part was learning the words not built from word roots...there were no flashcards for them so that required a little more effort.
