Summary: Excellent reading!
Comment: This book was used as a textbook in a graduate class I just completed. I found the book to include practical ideas and advice, and clear explanations concerning the adolescent. Every middle level teacher and/or teacher of adolescents (5th through 9th graders) should read this book, regardless of how many years they have been in the classroom! The book offers new information and research, and combines this well with the former research on adolescents and how they learn.
