Summary: Not Keegan's best work
Comment: I'll start this review by saying that John Keegan is one of my favorite authors. With that in mind, I try to collect as many of his books as I can find. Unfortunately, this book is a product of the early '70s Ballantine days for JK. So he's in full-on dry professorial tone here. Heck, I still haven't been able to get through his account of Barbarossa in the same series! Avoid this one unless you're a Keegan completist.
