Summary: Wilks keeps getting better and better!
Comment: I'm not sure who "A reader in the USA" is, but we obviously didn't read the same book. Eileen Wilks keeps getting better with every book and this is her best to date!

Jacy has always been drawn to Tom, but she isn't sure he's ready for that once-in-a-lifetime kind of love when she finds out she's pregnant. Tom knows his duty, but isn't prepared for the unsettling and amazing whirlwind he took to bed that one night. Neither of them can forget that night.. nor do they want to, but is one night enough to base a lifetime on? YES! Jacy is a wonderful modern heroine - wanting to do what's best but unwilling to trap any man in a place where he'd rather not be. Tom is a man with a past who needs to learn to to look to the future.

Eileen Wilks has a way with words that brings you right inside her character's hearts. A truly fabulous storyteller and I can't wait for her next release, THE VIRGIN AND THE OUTLAW, from Sil Intimate Moments. She keeps me wondering if she can possibly write a better story and I have yet to be disappointed!

Summary: Great read!
Comment: Eileen uses vivid imagery, gut-tightening emotion, characters truly life-like in their fallibility, and a great understanding of human nature to make her stories come alive. Left on the doorstep of an orphanage as an infant, but without papers which would allow her to be adopted, Jacy has spent her life feeling unwanted and unwilling to trust anyone for fear they'd leave her. Only by resolving the issue of her birth can she grow enough to allow herself to love and be loved. The ending will give you goose bumps and teary eyes. And an eager anticipation for the great things guaranteed to come from this author. --Kat Bragg, CompuServe Romance Reviews

Summary: Not what I expected
Comment: This book really *wasn't* that great. Jacy has some difficulty with her pregnancy, which is interesting. But when the hero spends the book moving in and out of her life and the reader doesn't see a confession of love, the book is not very gratifying. However, the book takes a few twists in subplots. Had more effort been put into the romance instead of elsewhere, this book would have improved greatly, and been infinitely more enjoyable.
