Summary: A Highly Recommended Nice Serving of Hot
Comment: (If you're unfamiliar with the Blaze Harlequin line, but are a fan of all types of romance genre, these are very adult oriented books with more explicit love making than say strictly metaphorical romantic scenes.) I enjoyed this story much more than other Blaze novels because it struck a good balance between plot/romantic development and steamy/scalding love scenes that make you want to take a cold shower or grab your significant other. The lead characters (Natalie & Jake) are endearing and because Donna Kauffman really is quite skillful, they remain believable while burning up the pages with their chemistry. In this modern world of trying to figure out if the pursuit of success precludes actually having a life and happiness, you can't help but empathize (and a admire) the way they attack the problem of instant attraction and little if any available time to do anything about it. It's a quick read but still a good book. (Sort of a gap filler between 500 page novels) I'll be looking out for any longer novels (or perhaps another Blaze novel highlighting Natalie's best friend Liz) by Ms. Kauffman or even see if I can get any of her previously published work.

Comment: Their agreement seems so simple. Two consenting adults who don't have time to pursue relationships but are in need of sensuality that works around their itineraries agree to meet when they happen to be in the same town. The sex is incredible and without emotional complications. But Jake Lannister will find himself challenged when he decided he wants to be more than just her secret thrill.

Unusual circumstances and the late hour lead Natalie Holcomb to act very uncharacteristically when she rents a room with Jake. Their mind numbing encounter leaves her satiated, and yet hungry for more. But it doesn't take long for lust to lead to love for Jake. Too bad Natalie's responsibilities and reserve don't allow her to yield to emotional complications.

Erotic and enticing, HER SECRET THRILL is as thrilling as the Blaze line promises. Sensuality explored through strawberries and chocolate, playfulness and naughtiness, results in a hot read. The emotional complications are well defined, and wonderfully exploited, lending the characters a convincing depth. Steamy and passionate, HER SECRET THRILL will thrill all lovers of erotic romanticism. Belonging on the keeper shelf, HER SECRET THRILL is very highly recommended.
