Summary: Don't buy this book - and be scandalized
Comment: The Birthday Book of Saints is NOT a Catholic book, although it has the appearance of such. To read this book is to jepardize your Faith, so I recommend that you do not read it. This book is filled with many, many examples of completely ludicrous information about the Saints in light of the Catholic Faith. Just to name a few examples of the total obsurdity of their claims: Jesus dated St. Margaret Mary and then exposed himself to her, (described as possibly sexual), Jesus had brothers and sisters (take a look at Matt 27:56 and John 19:25 to see that those mentioned as his 'brothers' are really cousins because they have different parents!), Dorothy Day is a Saint (she has not been canonized yet!), Jesus' foreskin is kept in a jar in Rome, and many more. This book appears to be for children, but the language and sexual details in the book make it wholly inappropriate for kids.

Take a heed from the front cover of the book. One of the authors is noted to be a practicing Ex-Catholic. He needs to stop practicing, he's really good at it now.

Comment: This great book offers both entertainment and information.After finding your own birthday Saint and your own Saint's Day, you can curl up with this book and learn in a delightful way.

I never knew that Nathaniel Hawthorne's daughter devoted her life to incurable cancer patients, or that one could invoke Saint Eurosia against bad weather, or that Saint Margaret Clitherow was the patron of businesswomen!

This is a book for everybody.
