Summary: Delightful, sophisticated humor
Comment: One can't simply read ABOUT Liz Bevarly's characters; one lives THROUGH them, in large part due to the author's wonderful, unhurried meanderings through their heads. HOW TO TRAP A TYCOON is no exception. On the surface, the story line may seem a bit far-fetched, but is nonetheless a perfect vehicle for Ms. Bevarly's strong, unique voice. And, if you scratch just below the surface, you'll find a nice little theme going there about identity and how the face we show to the world isn't always who we really are.
Which is one reason I, for one, absolutely adored the secondary romance, finding its more serious tone a nice counterbalance to the main storyline. In fact, I'm not sure I didn't love the more layered Lucas and Edie -- both of whom were not at all who they appeared to be on the surface -- even more than Adam and Dorsey.
And let me tell ya -- there are a couple lines in there that I'm sure are destined for the Most Often Quoted Hall of Fame.

Summary: Enjoyable and Cute!
Comment: Dorsey MacGuiness is beautiful, smart and witty. She leads a busy life. In the morning she is a very bored assistant teacher at Severn College. In the evening she is a bartender at Drake and in love with a sexy and incredible successful Adam Darien. In her spare time she is Lauren Grable-Monroe a scandalous writer, who wrote (with a great help from her mother) a guide book for all woman teaching how to find a rich husband!
When the book turns out to be more popular than intended, Dorsey is trapped between her real self and the Delicious Lauren. How is she to get her life back without losing the man she loves?
The book has a fully description of all characters which i find very useful. You get a clear colorful picture of every page
How to trap a tycoon is a funny and romantic book. At some point you may find it surprising, sometimes predictable, and at some dreadful points you will feel as if you're watching a soap opera. But still I have to admit I couldn't put the book down!
It's just perfect for summer :)

Summary: very enjoyable
Comment: this was the 1st book by elizabeth bevarly i've read, & i enjoyed it thoroughly, despite some hard-to-believe spots (how is it adam doesn't recognize dorsey, even after sleeping w/her? shades of superman & lois lane!). i thought the secondary romance was good, and would've appreciated more time spent on lucas & edie. however, it was very funny & i will try other books by elizabeth bevarly after reading this one.
