Rating: 5
Summary: Thought Provoking
Comment: This book is an easy read and probably begs more questions than it answers. Any one of Prof Kaku's "visions" of life embraced by 21st century technology are thought provoking and I am sure in time will evolve into major books in their own right. Prof Kaku writes about computers, quantum mechanics, DNA, future exploration, medical breakthroughs, longevity, etc. etc., in a manner that is understandable and, at times, breathtaking. I am sure that readers will either like or hate this book, depending upon whether they think the looking glass is either half full or half empty. I liked it and I am looking forward to the sequels.

Rating: 5
Summary: A spellbinding look at the future.
Comment: The strength of this book is Kaku's ability to summarize years of research and hundreds of interviews into a spellbinding view based on the visions of hundreds of scientists who are tops in their field. He manages to weave a tapestry amoung three scientifific revolutions that are taking place as we speak and predict with scientific logic how advances in computers, biology, and quantum physics will affect mankind over the next twenty years, fifty years, one-hundred years and beyond. He describes some facinating possibilities that the human race is capable of acheiving through science as long as he develops the ability to understand and respect the awesome power it gives him and avoid the pitfalls.

Rating: 5
Summary: Quite a payload of food for thought
Comment: The intriguing and "user friendly" personality that brought you Hyperspace (Michio Kaku) returns with a heavyweight in revolutionary scientific information. This book will leave you dizzy with concrete facts as well as potential possibilities throughout different areas of biology, technology, and physics. Geniously organized, this book begins by summarizing the different areas of science and their cross-influences, then opens up a whole new world in each respective subject. From artificial intelligence to genetics and (of course) a touch of quantum physics, this book will bring the tingling excitement of a fantastical future realistically close. With insights on economic growth and influences on society, this book shows that world of science fiction luxury and awe is not so far off at all. A great way to broaden your perspectives in one handy book.
