Comment: i didnt know anything about barnet newman before i got this book, now he is one of my favorite artist. this isnt a picture book, in fact there are almost no pictures of actual art works. this book is a collection of barnet newmans life long obsession with writting. he wrote letters and essays to everybody and about everything. from newspaper editors to gallery owners barnet newman wasnt afaraid to let people know what he thought, and he does it in a very informative and entertaining way. he was a very good writer. so mu suggestion is, if you want to learn about barnet newman the man, the writer, the artist, then get this book.
