Comment: After I finally decided to do an Afrocentric Wedding I had to find resources. This book offered so many suggestions and variations on how to incorporate your heritage, personality, and uniqueness into your ceremony and reception. There are many photos of attire for men, women and children. There are decoration ideas and even sample menues. There is also a place to write in notes and ideas. This book is my new best friend!

Summary: Precise and Helpful!
Comment: A quick spur of the moment wedding that I had waiting for my entire life, this book was wonderful in setting your own themes and using creativity in a new non-traditional way. The types of weddings we choose vary and so do our tastes. I won't say this book saved my life but it did give me a more grounded reality of how I could adapt the wedding to my "our" tastes and also gave contact information on various venues. Very helpful.
