Summary: Biased book.
Comment: The book is heavily biased against the western model. The author grossly criticises the whole discipline of economics and economists. The arguments against the proven western models are insufficient and in most of the cases just boils down to questioning the assumptions made in economic models like perfect competition and demand-supply.
Though the basic premise that the market driven capitalism cannot be directly applied and imposed over the eastern economies in interesting, the way it is told leaves a lot to be desired.
I think it's better to avoid this book and depend on some other 'fund/bank' critique book to learn about the failures of the market system.
