I am the author of a book virtually identical in every aspect (except the actual words) to this first and most popular book of Neale Donald Walsch's. My book is titled: "Oh My God! Are You Talking to Me?" (ISBN #: 0958054371) available here at Amazon.com.
In 1985, the original title of my book was "The Truth, My Conversations with God" but my publishers recently made me change it, due to the extreme similarity to Neale's best-selling book "Conversations with God" (how's that for an amazing first coincidence!)
My book was written in 1985, seven years before Neale claims to have had his inspiration and used "automatic writing" to pen his first work.
In 1986 and 1987, while attempting to market my book (originally) I sent copies to several large marketing firms in California (at the suggestion of the publishers at that time) and I have recently learned that Neale was the owner and President of a large marketing firm in California in the late 80s! (Almost as big a coincidence as the title!)
I had never heard of Neale Walsch or his books until some recent reviewers of my book stated that it appeared OBVIOUS that I had plagiarized Neale's work. These reviewers were unaware that I wrote my book 7 years before Neale claimed to have penned his first book!
After hearing these reviews, I purchased Neale's book and read it. I tend to agree, the similarities of these two books is astounding (and almost unbelievable.) It looks like one of us took the others book, and simple rewrote it in their own words.
Well, I guess it is possible that if God spoke to two different persons within a few years of each other that He might answer the same questions; but would He answer them so diametrically different? I got all Christian answers, Neale evidently got new-age answers?
Fortunately for me, there are also major differences between these two books: mine is a conversation with Jesus, I am not sure whom Neale was speaking with! Mine is central Christianity in theme and ideal and simple to understand, Neale's is new-age techno-babble and gobbeldy-gook.
I highly recommend you purchase and read the ORIGINAL book (which may have inspired? Neale to write his new-age version??)

Summary: Meditations? Who can meditate the human being?
Comment: This is a good book for looking to life in a happy way. But there is a major failure here, since 'Why are we living?' question should be asked to 'GOD' -Who created the all universe & all human beings- and we should look for the message from the
GOD. Not we should just imagine & go into our way. And accordingly we should ask 'What is our greatest happiness?' question to the GOD.
Anyone like this Meditations from Conversations with God, I advise Risale-i Nur Kulliyati (The Nur Collection) by Said Nursi Bediuzzaman to completely understand & learn 'WHY ARE WE LIVING on earth? and WHAT IS THE AIM & GREATEST HAPPINESS OF LIFE?.

Comment: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's amazing how on the money it is for the day! Gave me many insights... In case the editor/author/publisher reads this, I would enjoy a perpetual flip calendar version of this book even more!
