Summary: A Good Book
Comment: This is a good book on a healthy way of life that is pretty far from the average (North) American diet. It has lists of the common foods and their Glycemic Index, plus recipes. It isn't strict to the point of ridiculousness as some diet books are. The authors provide a good, sound philosophy on the advantages of the Low Glycemic Diet. My only complaint is that there was too much testimonial on the benefits of the diet and examples of people's weight loss stories and not enough solid information on the glycemic index of various foods. All in all, though, a good book.

Summary: It's changed my life and how I relate to food.
Comment: I had tried every kind of diet ever published. I lost weight then gained it back. Then as I got older, it was even harder to lose weight no matter how few calories I ate. This book helped to to understand how certain foods make you fat. I've adopted a low-glycemic diet and have lost 8 lbs. in about 6 weeks. It was effortless, and it's a lifestyle and diet I can stay on forever.
If you are desperate to lose weight and maintain a healthy, long-term life lifestyle, you must read this book--then put it into practice! It's easy
