Summary: Can't get much better than straight from the source
Comment: When preparing for your GMAT you want to try to practice with questions that are as close as possible to what you'll see on Test Day. The Official Guide is full of them! Although this book won't give you much in terms of advice (check out a Kaplan or PR book for this), it will give you plenty of opportunity to test your skill level. Using this in conjunction with one of the books mentioned above is a very effective method of getting ready. Good luck to all on your test!

Summary: Math Review Section Very Helpful
Comment: I ordered this book just two weeks before I took the exam. Because of the short amount of time, I was not able to read the book from cover to cover, however, I found the math review section to be very helpful. I have not had algegra or geometry for 10 years before taking the exam, and found the examples in the book to be easy to understand. There are practice questions, followed by an answer key, and then a review section that explains how to figure out each of the questions. This format gives you a chance to check your answers as you go, or to use it like a practice exam, and then review how well you did after you complete all the practice questions. The only thing that could improve this approach would be to include a CD-Rom practice test with the book. The information provided at the beginning of the book was exactly what you see when you sit down at the computer to take the GMAT. I did have a little trouble with some of the algebra examples because the example would in some cases combine 2 steps, and I really needed to see the problem worked out step by step, but that is my only complaint. Definitely worth the $22.

Summary: Forget others
Comment: In my opinion this book will be the only one to worth its price. This book is "must" for every exam takers. It reflects all the material that you are responsible for. For that reason forget about all the other books such as Kaplan, Barrons, Princeton etc. These books are a piece of ... and you don't have to use them. Because you should think that ETS is aware of these books' strategies and questions. In sum, there is no alternative for this book.
