Summary: Powerful, yet Engrossing..
Comment: Wow! After just finishing this book, I am breathless. This novel was ASTOUNDING. I had never read any of James Patterson's books, but I know that will change now. I loved the idea of twinning. Very well developed!
The story starts off when the Cross family finds that Alex's beloved neice has been abducted and "kidnapped", leaving the family in shambles. Alex Cross goes to investigate her kidnapping. As the story develops, Cross' only lead is Katelya MecTiernen, a beautiful medical intern that escaped from the "bad guys." I absolutely loved Kate's character. She is well written, and I love that fact that she could hold her own against intruders instead of the traditional idea of helpless women being taken without a fight.
The book progresses, taking the reader on a never-ending thrill ride, straight up to the very last page. It is scary, and I promise you that once you think the book is finished, you better think again! I definitely recommend this book to anyone.

Summary: SUCH A SWEET KISS
Comment: In this second installment in the Alex Cross series, Patterson pulls out the stops in this tale of not one, but two delightfully vicious serial killers. Once again, Alex finds himself embroiled in this dastardly scene, because his lovely niece, Naomi, is one of Casanova's "collections." The story goes from Chapel Hill to L.A., and back, and Patterson has plenty of surprises and suspenseful scenes to satisfy even the most hardboiled cynic.

While the identity of the Gentleman Caller is established right away, Casanova's real identity is left to the very end of the book, and it is a surprise to say the least.

Of course, what makes this work so beautifully is the wonderful characterizations Patterson gives us in his recurring characters of Cross, his family, his friend John Sampson, and the heroine, Kate McTiernan. Don't let the movie influence you in reading this book. While the movie is an okay thriller, the book far surpasses it in giving us much more background and suspense.

"Kiss the Girls" is top notch thriller at its best!

Summary: Like being scared beyond reasonable fear?
Comment: Patterson does such a good job in this book, it is the last book of his I read. Yes, he scared me. The very precision with which this villian goes about his business, how easy it was for him, the depth of his illness and the lengths he went to, it was too much for my poor little mind. I can't read Patterson anymore, but he is a master of the craft.
