Summary: A reply to Mr. Reece...
Comment: It's never been proven that Harry can write a book, since he didn't write this one. As far as the actual writing IN the book, it's a mostly average effort by ghostwriters paid to interpret Harry's nonsensical perspective. In that, they pretty much succeed. His inanity and delusional self-importance come shining through on every page. If Harry actually believes that he's revolutionary (and unbiased) when compared to the likes of Matt Drudge, I want whatever he's smokin'! Again, I encourage anyone who's not familiar with the AICN website to go there and simply read his movie reviews and his "insider information", which is neither unique nor timely. The man has no knowledge of films or film history that an average Joe couldn't obtain in 10 minutes at the library.

Harry Knowles is not a Hollywood "outsider" in any sense of the word. He was bought and paid for long ago, and the studios continue to tolerate and humor him in order to placate an anonymous, highly vocal gaggle of geeks who create the underground buzz that's fashionable right now. What little influence he may have had has waned since the introduction of websites such as CHUD.

If you'd like some REALLY interesting reading, take a look at the first customer reviews that were clearly planted at the time the book came out, and then contrast them to the real customer reviews later. That'll tell you everything you need to know about this disingenuous hack.

Summary: Knowles Can Write
Comment: I'd like to express an observation of many of the reviews posted here stating that Knowles cannot write. Now, I'll admit I haven't read this book, however, I've read the few pages provided here for review. I dare anyone to read these pages and find fault with the writing; it's fine! So, where are these people coming from that state Knowles can't write; do they have hidden agendas, might they have a grudge against Knowles?

Summary: I've had enough...
Comment: ...of Harry Knowles' BS. It's obvious from "his" book that he has neither the intelligence nor the vision to start or run a website such as AICN (however idiotic it is). His reviews are inane, perverse (see his review for Blade 2 if you don't believe me), and almost always DEAD WRONG. It's as if he watches a Bizarro World version of the films that you and I see while bombed on Rohypnol. He's a studio shill to boot...his reviews for the extremely mediocre Star Wars prequels are pure tripe mailed in from Lucasfilms.

As for the book, it's more of the same drivel wrapped in an exceedingly ugly package. Your 15 minutes are up, Harry.
