Summary: I Believe
Comment: My grandfather died last summer. I stayed with him and held his hand until he died, surrounded by the whole family. I have been so deeply affected by his loss, it is hard to explain. He was the first person I have lost. He came to me in a dream one night, touched my face and told me that he was "so happy". He died of pnemonia(spelling?), but was in the early stages of cancer. He was very small when he died, maybe 100 pounds. In this dream, he was fat and happy, the way he always was. You can imagine my shock when I saw James Van Praagh on TV, saying that sometimes the spirit of a loved one may contact you in a dream. I was really taken aback. I had to go out and get the book. I find the book very emotionally satisfying. It is worth the money. It gives you peace of mind. I was a bit skeptical at first, because I am a Catholic and still afraid of sinning by consulting fortunetellers, etc. I think that people should try to calm their inner selves instead of pleading to talk to James. I mean, there are a lot of lost people out there, who have things to resolve just as bad or even worse than you or I do.

Summary: I enjoyed it very much. It has brought me a little peace.
Comment: I was compelled to buy the book after I saw James on Oprah. I tried to buy it immediately, but found that the bookstores couldn't keep it on the shelves. I put my order in and waited. When I did receive it, I found it very easy to read. It followed along similar beliefs as those which I hold. I have always questioned the existence of God, but found it too painful to think that there might not be a thing such as heaven. But then, where do our spirits go? After my mother passed away unexpectedly last year, I found myself hating God. Wondering if everyone saw Him as such a loving and wonderfully giving presence, how could He take away the person I loved most? To this day, I continue to question that, but have to put my trust in God to have a reason, even if I can not understand it. I have, through this book, come to believe that no matter why she is gone, at least she is in a better place. I will always regret that I never got to say goodbye.... Sue

Summary: An interesting and uplifting read...
Comment: I purchased this book while I was grieving for the loss of a loved one. Of all the books I have read during this period, this was one of the best and most interesting. The author has many good stories about his contacts with people who have crossed over. If you are intersted in this subject matter or are grieving the loss of someone special, reading this book will give your spirit a lift. Highly recommended!
