Summary: too many details about City Hall politics
Comment: Too much exhaustive detail about police politics, task force conflicts etc. On and on about the mayor, commissioner blah blah blah. Not enough forensics. If I like a book I finish it in a couple days. This one took months-- it was like something I dreaded on my nightstand.

Summary: A Great & Chilling Read
Comment: I was first handed this book at age 13 by my Grandfather, Richard Kraske (whom half the book is written about as it explains his role as chief investigator of the killings and previous investigator on the Ted Bundy case). I read through and was chilled to learn about my grandfather's history and what he was dealing with when he was on the force. It is a great read for crime lovers, although it somehow feels unfinished (probably due to the new controversy of the Gary Ridgeway suspect). This is a read that will keep you gripping to the edge of the book.

Summary: More True Politics Than True Crime
Comment: this book is just okay. the case is long, drawnout, and ultimately unsolved. there are a LOT of people to keep track of, and the whole book seems bogged down by minutia. this should really be catergorized as a political non-fiction book, not a true crime book. i'd say at least 80% of it deals with the politics of the Green River Task Force, which makes for very dry & boring reading. not a real "page turner" (for me anyway).
