Comment: This book does give an overview of derivatives, and other resources, such as Wilmott do an excellent job. The section on credit derivatives is light, but that may be addressed in the next edition. There is more to this market than credit default swaps.

Comment: There are two ways to write a book: provide a lot of specialist information on a specialised topic (well) or provide a lot of superficial information that covers everything relevant (lake). Surprisingly, this book achieves both of these objectives.
