Summary: Best book on the subject so far
Comment: Even though Dr. Kerzner mentions "Knowledge Management" (KM) throughout the book many, many times and how important it is in the PM world (in one form or another), an actual chapter/subchapter on KM is regretfully missing. Moreover, since Dr. Kerzner's work is now being considered as the Bible of the PM industry, all of the definitions used should be prominently identified.

Comment: I have ordered this book for possible trainning of new employees. There is nothing applied in this book. I was looking for help to explain with examples when can be used and related limits of formal project management tools. If you are looking for this type of information just forget it

Summary: Excellent PM reference for Managers
Comment: Dr. Kerzner, in his classic style, discusses the cultures and methodologies emerging from the growing mission-critical need to service one's customers with high quality, low cost, just-in-time services. It is no secret that Project Management is at the heart of these cultures and methodologies. Multiple quotes from both field PMs and executive leaders provide a multi-faceted view of project management from all angles, how it is growing into a management style all it's own, and where it's headed into the future. The textbook format allows the reader the opportunity to review the material, which serves to reinforce his or her understanding of the content.
