Summary: Great Book!
Comment: This was the first book that I've read by Catherine Coulter, it was a great book! I couldn't put it down, it was very fast paced and she keeps you guessing all the way to the end! I am now going to read all of her FBI Suspense Thrillers.

Rating: 2
Summary: Not my type of book
Comment: I have to say that I read this book very quickly because I wanted to see how it would end. Had I known there was going to be sexual violence in it, I certainly wouldn't have read it. I know it's fiction but still, it is very far-fetched. Everytime something happened to the "heroine" I kept thinking "oh not again!"... the bad things kept happening and happening and it was like "oh, just get ON with the story please". Really, if you want to read a mystery, read Agatha Christie. No sex, no violence just classic mystery.

Rating: 5
Summary: Great characters, intriguing mystery - Catherine's best!
Comment: I bought this book in an airport because the back sounded good. It was such an enthralling read I didn't put it down once - thank goodness it was an overseas flight so that I didn't have to wait to end the suspense!

I kept trying to guess what was going on but couldn't. I knew something was up with those old people, but I never suspected what was really going down until the end. It was quite shocking. And the bits in the insane asylum scared the ... out of me.

As for the hero, I adored John Quinlan. Catherine loves Savitch and puts him in every single book, but John Quinlan is MY first love, and I wish he were in more of them!

On the strength of this book, I went out and bought The Maze. It was so good I bought all of her other books! ... If you don't read anything else by Catherine Coulter, though, read this. It's worth your time!
