Summary: Kelman's best yet!
Comment: Devotees of Mary Higgins Clark and Stephen White's recent bestseller COLD CASE will want to stay up all night to finish Judith Kelman's gripping read SUMMER OF STORMS.
This book will appeal to myriad audiences -- the followers of the Lindbergh kidnapping, the torn readers of the Jon Benet case, the cognoscenti who know how the famous Vidocq Society operates, and fans of Lisa Gardner, Kay Hooper and other writers of heroine-centered suspense.
From the initial setup, where the reader is thrown into a raging hurricane and the grisly murder of a little child, to the shocking, surprising denouement, the story packs a wallop and provides the reader with a disturbing but entertaining page-turner. With this her twelfth novel Kelman hits a new high.

Summary: A fantastic read ...
Comment: Judith Kelman's "Summer of Storms" provides the reader with an extraordinary insight into the minds of its characters. As the Jameson family deals with the 30-year old legacy of their young daughter Julie's unsolved murder, the reader cannot help but share the frustration of their lingering pain and their growing terror as the murderer reenters their lives. Kelman's unique ability to engage her readers in the experiences of her characters has been pervasive through each of her (now) twelve novels. "Summer of Storms" is certainly no exception ... a wonderfully gripping tale.

Summary: Not what I thought It would be
Comment: I believe this book didn't live up to it's promises. I did finish the book but I wasn't thrilled by the story. I would not recommend this book. I felt like it was a lot of useless text folllowed by an ending that had nothing to do with the main body of the story. The only really interesting parts of the story were the beginning and the Very end. Although the end was disappointing. I am not sure I will read another one of her books again.
