Comment: Christine Feehan knows how to draw one in.
I have read all of her books to date.
One thing that she does very well is build her character and introduces new ones who usually have their story later on.
In Wild Rain we have two people who want to live in total isolation for different reasons. We are also again introduced to shape shifters.
Don't be surprised if later on Ms Feehan has a book that invloves these species with those of the Carpathians.
For example Bryon's lifemate is a descendant of such a species.
Rachel & Rio in this book are both strong characters.
I thought the plot could have been done a bit tighter in the fact that it seemed Rachel was not at all that kind. Then the fact that she kept a secret that I pretty much figured out already was a bit of a stretch.
You have two characters I believe we will see more of.
Drake who was in the first book of the series.
Rachel's brother whom I believe to be someone that needs his own book.

Comment: I waited for this book to come out for what seemed like FOREVER, and when it did I was not disappointed. Wild Rain is one of those books that keeps you on edge until the very end. In Wild Rain both the hero and heroine are hunted by enemies and haunted by their pasts. They meet in a clash of wills and love with the same blazing fervor. I really love how suspenseful Christine Feehan made this book. There were times when I got really annoyed when the heroine wouldn't speak about her past, and then there were times when the hero's attitude really got on my nerves. There was a bit of blood and gore in this book that definitely made me cringe at times, but didn't take away from the love story. Wild Rain was a wonderful book, and another smash hit of Christine Feehan's! I loved it!
