Summary: Five stars for a fairy tale!
Comment: The Japanese police are nothing but barbarians; they use brutality to force confessions out of innocent people. The Japanese police use massive criminal behavior to force signed confessions. In Japan the accused have no rights or guarantees, I know what their constitution says, but that is not how their legal system works in practice. The U.S. State Department web site on Japan's human rights record is a good example and this is only the tip of the iceberg. The Japanese police are no better than the mafia; actually the Japanese mafia is better, as you know where you stand with them. Japanese police move up in position by gaining confessions and go down when they don't, innocence is irrelevant to them. The police claim they have a "code of conduct," which is taught to every school child in Japan, but its all garbage. The only thing going on here is fear and intimidation by the police as cited by US State Department web site (http://www.state.gov/g/drl/rls/hrrpt/2000/eap/index.cfm?docid=709) and Multicultural Japan at http://www.ufj.gol.com/.
