Summary: Not For Kids!
Comment: This book places reality and a Dark Ages view of hell in the same context. It is an extremely confusing and frightening book for the age group of suggested readers. My son an avid reader was disturbed by some of the pictures and had a difficult time differentiating reality from ancient mythic world views. Definitely not on any of my kids reading lists!!!!!

Comment: Looking for a book on construction, I came across this text. I guess I should have read the reviews, because the content was not underground construction, which is what I was looking for. As a teacher, my 9 yr. old students would be terrified at some of these pages of hell and dungeons. While nor gorey, there is still an insinuation. I may return it.
