Summary: Thoughtful, poetic discourse on logic with incoherent plot
Comment: This is a serious book for serious SF fans. Each page contains new insights, but it is hard to read and the story is only there to hang the ideas on.

Nova, by Delaney, is a similar but much better book (I give it a 10!). However, both books are out of print, a heresy.
