Comment: I have read a few of Jane Feather's other books and I thought that this one was one of the best. Judith is just free and out there, but Marcus is a little uptight and that is what made it amazing. Putting these two together was like putting heaven and hell together. It's the passion they have together and it makes you never want to put the book down.

Summary: I Love Virtue!
Comment: I read Virtue and it enthralled me..the characters - Judith and Sebastian are two siblings with very strong characters with quick wits and they are both gamesters, too. But they do this(gamble) to survive and to attain their lifetime goals ie, to avenge their father's death and in turn recoup back Sebastian's inheritance and title.
Whereas Marcus Devlin is a stuffed shirt kinda character but he's a brilliant man, evident from his involvement with General Wellington and later the triumphant Battle of Waterloo. It's hilarious to see how Judith manages to thwart his attempts to stop her gambling. But the best part is, though most of the times they are at odds with each other, he will seek her romantically later on and it's great to see a hero who's passionate and stern at the same time.

Comment: I just finished reading this in the paperback version and felt the characters and plot were very well developed. It's hard to believe the Davenports' mother was as uncaring as she was portrayed, but I've met a similar type. The up and down romance between Judith and Marcus was very poignant. Enjoy!
