Comment: This was a great book. I have always been fascinated by wolves and this book was everything I was hoping it would be when I bought it. I really like the romances that have the sexual tension, love, caring, and not every page dedicated to sex scenes. There was a good story line to this - good development of the characters where you found out a lot about them and understood and could feel what they were feeling. Krinard's descriptions made you see things very clearly in your mind. You found yourself compelled to keep reading to see what would happen. I have since picked up her other two books - Prince of Wolves and Touch of a Wolf and can't wait to start reading them. Unfortunately, the guy on the cover of Prince of Dreams has put me off from buying the book, but if the two other Krinard's books are as fantastic as Prince of Shadows, I will buy it eventually. Prince of Shadows is a wonderful book and one that shouldn't be missed. Susan Krinard has definitely earned herself another devoted fan.

Summary: Werewolves will never been seen in the same light again
Comment: This is the book that got me into reading Krinard's other werewolf tales. This one, unfortunately, was the best. Prince of Wolves is far too slow moving and takes too long to get one into the characters' heads. In "Prince of Shadows" however, I fell for physically scarred Alex as quickly as I fell for the emotionally scarred Kieren. This is a good book both from the werewolf point of view and for the romance. I loved it. The only werewolf romance I have read that I think is better, was "The Passion." That, however, fell just a bit short in the sensual area. That is where "Prince of Shadows" surges ahead.

Summary: Just wonderful
Comment: Really high-quality wriing has a rhythm and tempo all of its own. In this superb book the author gives us two fascinating characters, and a startling introduction to the world of wolves. Alex is determined and brave, Keiran sexy and noble. I loved every word of it. The descriptions of nature and the wolves were incredible. Am looking forward to reading more by this author.
