Comment: Hilarious story about high school from a student perspective. Better than the movie. For a funny book on public education from a teacher's point of view, though, try "No One's Even Bleeding".

Comment: I was lucky enough to find the book in one book sale. It was funny though it also showed the reality teenagers were facing during that time. It was an eye-opener and at the same time an interesting, fun read.

Summary: Funny as all Hell
Comment: This book does not hold a candle to the movie. The book is funny throughout. The people in the book seem more real and at times relate to them more. You can also grab onto some person or another and say "yeah" that was me in high school. Crowe really did do his homework on when it came to this book. He adds wit, humor and tender monemts that are not sappy yet tender in a way. I would say go out and get this book because the moive is like the cliff notes of the movie and if you really wanna laugh then you need to read this.
