Comment: As a healthcare professional and as someone who has lost freinds and family to AIDS, I was greatly encouraged by this book. At one time, it was required reading by an English professor at Georgia State University. I know a person with AIDS now, whom after reading it, found important information and encouragement to continue living successfully and fully with HIV illness for over 14+ years! A must reading for anyone who wants to retain control of their own life while facing any health challenge. People do not die of AIDS. They die of the fear of inevitable death, pervasive misinformation, and a surrender to the medical and pharmaceutical establishment. This book is a powerful witness to a woman's battle to rob death, personal healing, and triumph over what is seen as a endless or hopeless battle. It is good reading whether you have a life threatening illness or not because it is a true story about hope and personal empowerment!
