Summary: Leaves you wanting the next book
Comment: We have read and re-read this book to our boys (ages 5 and 8). They love the story line and the ever deepening plot. We do too. "No matter how deep you go, there's always another level." This is one of several Bruce Covill books we have read together as a family. It is the one we most often come back to. The entire Alien Adventures series is fun to read for parents and kids alike. The stories are well written and the language is great for reading out loud. Lessons abound in the story, but they are subtle and do not get in the way of a well told tale. I strongly recommend this book for parents and kids. I only hope that the current popularity of horror stories for kids does not delay the next installment in the Alien Adventures series.

Summary: I recognize this book as one of his best, save one thing.
Comment: I think that Bruce Coville's latest addition to the Rod Allbright Adventures was one of his best, except for one detail that lowered my opinion. You might think I'm just being fussy, but I don't like the ending. Sure it's great that BKR wasn't able to suspend time, but what about the "Ferkada?" Rod's father? The whole saga of Rod's father is a series on it's own, and The Search For Snout leaves a lot hanging in the air. I'd rate this book the best...if Mr. Coville would please make a few problems solved. I remain his fathful reader.......
