Summary: This is a book kids like!
Comment: I just finished reading this book with a group of 8-12 year old students in a remedial reading summer class. As their teacher I can tell you that every child in my class loved this book. As adult, I loved it too! Betsy Duffey knows dogs, and she obviously knows a lot about young boys too, so her story of a boy desperately trying to train a puppy, and the puppy trying just as hard to "train" his boy is funny and true to life. If I can get a bunch of reluctant readers to give a thumbs-up to a book, I know it is a winner.
