Summary: Very disappointed
Comment: I've listened to some pretty good audio books, but this isn't one of them. This audio book is full of platitudes and anecdotes but offers very little useful information or ideas. It tends to ramble aimlessly without making a point. As a result, I found myself rewinding the tape over and over in a futile attempt to follow the author's line of reasoning and glean some value from listening. In the final analysis, it turned out to be one of the more disappointing audio books I've listened to, definitely not worth the time invested. I usually save audio books once I am done with them to give to friends, however I have thrown this one away rather than waste another person's time with it.

Summary: Practical and realistic steps from an empathetic author.
Comment: This audio book gives a realistic and practical approach to conflict and anger, not expecting we can totally eliminate them, yet giving step-by-step methods for handling various situations and managing our emotions. Denis Waitley is always an engaging, enthusiastic speaker. He uses personal illustrations to let you know he has struggled with these problems himself and has taken his own advice. In addition, he deals with some of the root issues, such as goals and attitudes, and gives practical advice for self-improvement. The pace is excellent for listening in the car, but the detailed steps may be difficult to remember without extra effort, such as writing them down later. If you are familiar with Waitley's other books, such as _Seeds of Greatness_, you will see how this course dovetails with his formula for success. If you are not, this is a good place to begin.

Summary: Frequently strayed from topic. Contained little information.
Comment: The book contained a lot of stories about angery people, but little useful information about dealing with anger. It was also geared toward white collar upper management, with most of the emphasis being on conflict in the workplace, making it undesirable for average people who are dealing with anger in their personal lives.
