Summary: May be the most well-written technical book I have ever read
Comment: Laura Lemay's no-nonsense writing style was a welcome change from the dry verbosity of most technical books. It is a great beginning book. I am a programmer but had no previous experience with HTML, and the only web experience that I had was as a user. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give this book a 9. I would give it a 10, except that it failed to deliver on one, promised point: Setting Up Your Own Web Server. On Day 7 (page 369), it promises that you will be instructed on how to set up your own web server on Day 8. This information is never given. I tried writing to the publisher about this omission but was never even given the courtesy of a reply. If you don't care about setting up your own personal web server, this book will tell you everything else you need to know.
